The New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars have requested permission to interview San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble for their general manager vacancies.
Gamble is finishing his second full season in the role for the 49ers.
The Arizona Cardinals have fired head coach Ken Whisenhunt and general manager Rod Graves.
Defensive coordinator Ray Horton will be amongst the candidates.
The San Diego Chargers have fired head coach Norv Turner and general manager A.J. Smith.

Smith joined the Chargers as assistant general manager in 2001 before becoming general manager in 2003.
Turner had a 59-43 record with the Chargers.

Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter is a head coaching candidate for several NFL vacancies.
Koetter will interview with the Eagles, Chiefs and Browns.
The Tennessee Titans have fired Mike Reinfeldt as Senior Executive Vice President.
The Titans will keep Mike Munchak as head coach.
Reinfeldt took over as GM of the Titans in 2007.
Jon Gruden will interview for head coaching positions with NFL teams this offseason.
Gruden is currently an analyst for ESPN and has said publicly he will stay at the network.
Gruden's camp has put out word to teams that he is interested in a return.
The Eagles and Chargers are two franchises in particular that could be of interest to Gruden.
The Philadelphia Eagles have fired Andy Reid as expected.
"Andy Reid won the most games of any head coach in Eagles history and he is someone I respect greatly and will remain friends with for many years to come," owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a brief statement. "But, it is time for the Eagles to move in a new direction. Coach Reid leaves us with a winning tradition that we can build upon. And we are very excited about the future."
Reid wants to coach another NFL team in 2013.
The Buffalo Bills have fired Chan Gailey as head coach.
Gailey went 16-32 over three seasons with the Bills.
Gailey had new defensive coordinator in every season of his tenure.
The Chicago Bears have fired Lovie Smith as head coach.
The Bears missed out on the playoffs for a second consecutive season after the Vikings beat the Packers on Sunday.
Smith had received the vocal support of several key players.
Smith led the Bears to the 2006 Super Bowl and division titles in 2005, 2006 and 2010.
The Bears have already begun seeking permission to interview potential replacements for Smith.
